thats interesting that you posted this because just yesterday I figured out how to put any ringtone I wanted on my phone - unfortunately, I cannot use the method that you suggested because 1. I have Verizon and they are pains in the butt and 2. my phone does not have that record feature.

My method requires a little more work, but its still free, maybe Ill do a post about it.

Customizing cell phones with a favorite ringtone isnt always an easy thing to do. Depending on the type of cell phone youre using, sometimes it can be a long complicated process that makes you want to give up and run away. Sadly, there are tons of services that require you to pay a set amount for a small sample of a song.
If you frequently like to switch ringtones, then this could become an expensive habit very quickly. Browsing the Internet for various ways of converting your existing music collection into a ringtone would be your next step to solve this potential problem. With a few short clicks, you can display your own personal style by having your favorite song blare from your cell phone.

How to Get Free Cell Phone Minutes

Getting free minutes from your prepaid cell phone provider is easy. Most often your provider will be trying to encourage users who have not added minutes recently to add money to their account, or attract potential customers to their service. Thats why phonepromocodes.com was created, we are here to help you get something extra back from your provider.

Getting free minutes and ringtones out of your provider is not exactly rocket science, but there is a fine more line that you might not want to cross, such as the social engineering method which is briefly covered below.

If your interested in finding the promotional codes mentioned in this post, click Phone Deals above to find lists of codes from popular providers.

Social Engineering:
Having worked for a very popular prepaid cell phone provider, I can tell you that social engineering frequently works for getting free minutes. Methods vary, but the the most effective way is just to annoy the crap out of representatives until what you want happens. This method is not so legal, and I dont recommend using it.
Getting unwarranted or trivial Refunds is the most common form of social engineering. This is when a customer calls in and claims are ringtone did not download fully, their call was dropped due to an error on the providers end, or because you are not fully satisfied with the overall services offered. Phone agents are usually only allowed to refund a small sum, with the maximum being $10-$20. Most companies also place notes in customers accounts describing past communications, so its pretty easy to get blacklisted from receiving refunds. I wouldnt recommend this because eventually you will have a real issue, and you dont want to be the boy who cried wolf.
